I know because I’m one. Her essay was such a blessing to me because I needed to hear from someone that understands what we go through. It’s now 2021 and I had no no idea all this has been going on for so long ago. And many light skin people still don’t know it’s happening to them especially if they are young. I know because I didn’t know why my brown skin family members hated me so until recently. It was only God that helped me understand what was happening. I now pray for light skin people to be aware and find the help they need. I hope they come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and the help he can provide. I hope that her essay becomes world renowned and that colorism is well exposed to all who need to know. And I am glad that God has always know that he knows what to do to help me.
